About the Alvorecer project: Renovating with purpose: a bright, comfortable and efficient apartment
Located in the quiet and up-and-coming area of Abrunheira, in the municipality of Sintra, this 2-bedroom apartment, built in 1993, has been given a new lease of life with a meticulous renovation, not only aesthetically pleasing, but also functional and energetic.
On the first floor at the front, Luz do Primeiro represents our vision of a modern home: open, bright, welcoming and adapted to the real needs of those seeking quality of life.
The renovation began with the removal of walls and doors that previously restricted light and space. By opening the kitchen to the living room, we created a continuous space where natural light spreads throughout the house, highlighting the light tones of the flooring and walls.
Although white finishes dominate, we introduced wooden elements—such as the vertical panels at the kitchen entrance and the decorative details in the living room—that bring warmth and texture to the space, creating a visual harmony between modern and welcoming.

As it was before
The apartment had a traditional fireplace in the living room, a wall separating the kitchen from the living room, a bathroom with a very narrow door, and an unnecessary room that occupied the space between the hallway, the kitchen, and the living room. All of this made the space feel more closed, dark, and disorganized.
